Love, Relationships and Feng Shui
Though it is not commonly known, a Feng Shui life can actually help to improve your love life. Romance and love is as much a part of most people’s lives as food and air; so it makes sense that not having the proper flow of energy in your life may affect the romance in your life as well.
Feng Shui, an ancient art and science developed by the Chinese more than 3,000 years ago, is a complex body of knowledge that if practiced properly will assure the person good health, fortune and even love. There are areas of your home that may influence your love life, such as the right rear corner of your house. This is your relationship corner. In addition to this, the bedroom is also a relationship area. If you apply some basic Feng Shui life techniques to these areas of your home, you will be more successful at attracting the right type of love energy into your life.
Feng Shui can help you keep the love alive in your relationship by blocking out negativity and embracing those that are positive. This may mean relying more of Yin, which symbolises femininity, more than Yang, which is masculinity, to create a healthy balance with the opposite sex. Here are some tips you should know.
These are just some very basic steps you can follow to add some romance to your life with the concept of the Feng Shui life. Try it; you just may be surprised at how much improvement you see.
Declutter
The very first thing you must do is cut all ties that you are keeping around to past relationships. This may include old letters, gifts or pictures. These things are nothing more than a reminder of a happy time that no longer exists. This alone, can bring sadness and bad energy into your life.
Keep Work Out Of The Boudoir
Remove all things from the relationship areas of your home that may distract you from focusing on romance. This may include work related items, televisions etc. Simply move these objects to other areas of your home. Never work in the bedroom, a hindrance of romantic space.
Couple Up
Remove some of the solitary items in these areas and replace them with matching pairs. This may include objects such as candles, pillows etc. You want to attract the energy for couples, not singles. If you have a partner, place a pair of objects in the southwest corner of the bedroom, the area of romance. Consider a pair of Mandarin ducks or cranes, the symbols of marital bliss. If you have an ensuite toilet located in this corner, hang a five rod wind chime. Keep your bathroom clean and the bathroom door closed at all times since you do not want the negative energy inside it flow outside.
Little Reminders
If you are part of a couple, display photographs of you together with your partner. Buy each other gifts as this symbolises your relationship. Put in a prominent place in the room or the home so you are able to remember your partner.
Even if you are single, set up your home as if a couple lives in it. With the Feng Shui life this is a way of attracting the energy that will bring love into your environment. Don’t overcrowd your home with your own stuff, leaving no room for another. This brings on an attitude that you have no room in your life for another person.
Invest In Uplifting Artwork
Remove any abstract, dark or sad artwork in the bedroom. They encourage negativity when this room should be peaceful and safe for those who sleep there. You can replace it with a painting that symbolises love such as lovebirds or silk flowers.
Add some pink to the relationship areas of your home. In the Feng Shui life, the colour pink holds love energy. Pink roses or anything pink in these areas can help add some romance to your life.
Ban Mirrors
If you have mirror facing the bed, relocate them because it reflects the couple on the bed. Some believe that this will cause a failure in the relationship because of the entry of a third party.
Keep It Airy
The bedroom should be well-ventilated so old energy moves out of the room.
Do Your DIY
Repair anything that needs attention. Should the bedroom door squeak, fix it because it blocks romantic energy from entering the bedroom.
