The KOL Social could not resist jumping onboard as a media partner to a long awaited brand new hair and beauty show Shades Of Beauty Live hailed as the UK’s first ‘Black Beautycon’, founded by Christina and Grace Adesina.
The two day expo, held at London’s iconic Lindley Hall, celebrated the diversity of women of colour with the launch of their #MyShadeMatters campaign. Some of the most influential figures in the beauty industry where in attendance, including Vogue’s Contributing Editor, Funmi Fetto, Sharmadean Reid MBE and influencer Naomi Oni (first image below).
Around 2,000 fans, beauty enthusiasts and micro bloggers attended Shades Of Beauty Live to meet online idols in beauty and hair and engage with their favourite brands catering to women of colour.
Highlights of the event included live interactive workshops including a hair workshop led by celebrity stylist Kevin Shanti who received online acclamation from presenter Maya Jama for his colourful unicorn lace wig creation on popular influencer Mariam Musa (main photo).
The KOL Social was on hand to capture the street style at Shades Of Beauty Live 2018.
